Blue Dot Story

It started with a simple yard sign hand-painted in August 2024 — a big blue dot on a white background. In just 10 weeks, over 20,000 Omaha area homes had their “dots” on display!

Originally, “blue dot” was a political term for Nebraska’s Democrat-leaning 2nd Congressional District, an area embedded within a red state, with one electoral college vote. During the race for the presidency, that same blue dot became a symbol for Blue Dot Nebraska, a tried-and-true grassroots movement that went viral! 

Blue Dot Nebraska made national news – CNN, NPR, PBS, CBS, WSJ, NYT and 20 other national and international media outlets covered the movement. 

With true grassroots enthusiasm, a community came together and became the ONLY swing district to GO BLUE in 2024!

Poised to bring people with a shared purpose together, BLUE DOT WAVE is set to embolden voters to change the direction of our country and VOTE BLUE in 2026! 

The Blue Dot has become a symbol for positive change, using its power to inspire and unite. The goal is no longer securing 

a single Blue Dot win. The goal is to sweep the country with BLUE DOT WAVE yard signs resulting in multiple wins throughout all 50 states.

With your help, BLUE DOT WAVE will work to influence races in key states that will, 

in turn, attract the media and allow us to grow exponentially.
